Go Back Chicago

Enter a world of jazz, crime, and razzle dazzle.

In roaring twenties Chicago, wannabe chorus girl Roxie Hart murders her lover in cold blood. Sent to jail and facing execution, Roxie meets another "Merry Murderess," former vaudeville star Velma Kelly. The two vie for the spotlight and the headlines, competing for media attention. With the help of charismatic lawyer Billy Flynn, Roxie and Velma chase the American Dream: fame, fortune, and acquittal. This sharp-edged satire features a dazzling jazz score that sparked immortal staging by Bob Fosse.

Chicago first opened on Broadway in 1975. In 1996, a revival of the show opened on Broadway where – almost three decades later – it continues to run, logging nearly 10,000 performances.
